Construction is predominantly land-based activity where site workers may be exposed to various risks.
The risks include confined space, working at height, moving machinery such as vehicles, cranes, etc., and materials, power tools and electrical equipment, hazardous substances, plus the effects of excessive noise, dust, and vibration.
A construction safety officer should be able to anticipate, identify, evaluate and recommend control measures to protect men, material, and the environment that too in a cost-effective manner
